fake conversations in your head of you venting to someone
working through trauma by yelling at no one while driving alone
validating yourself by imagining situations where bad things happen to people and you save them
reinforcing trust in your loved ones by imagining situations where bad things happen to you and they save you
Explaining things to your therapist in an imaginary session
Projecting all your trauma onto an imaginary character and imagining others comforting them
Wanting fictional characters to have all the emotional support and physical affection youâve always wanted
Writing a character that goes through the same troubles as you and give them loving family and friends to help them cope
SO ITâS NOT JUST ME?!
Speaking about all the things youâre going through as if youâre on a talk show and helping others know that there is hope and youâll get through this
âI wrote this little monologue which is really a kind of pastiche of other things Iâd done in âAvengersâ. And then I just sort of improvised it. Iâve got to be honest; I was waiting backstage and I just heard that every single X-Men who has ever walked the earth had been on stage before and I was a little nervous. And I thought Well, hopefully if I just commit to it, itâll go well. And I thought, I could always get them to chant my name if it doesnât work. And I walked out, and the very first thing they started doing was chant my name. And that was really surprising⊠I felt a kind of adrenaline rush like Iâve never felt.â
This is the best thing ever. Look at that cartoon! OMG I love it. And in the video, when the chick pulls itself up to its full height even though itâs basically still just a little donut! Thank you, @theredheadinquestion and @riorothbates!
full version of my illustration of the Good Omens âIâll call him Dogâ scene for the doggo zine!! I had a blast working on it and itâs still one of my favourite pieces that came out of 2017.
